Glyphs explained for Tera PS4:
Once you have reached level 20 you are going to get access to lots of different things. The players will get access to Vanguard Quest, many new skills and abilities, and glyphs. At level 20 the players will gain 10 glyph points.
Glyphs are Tera’s version of skill trees. They allow the players to do more with the powers, giving the players access to improve several skills and increase the benefit that you get from those skills. Every level past level 20 the players will gain one glyph point. The maximum of glyph is 55 points. The highest level in Tera is level 65.
In the menu, where we see our powers and abilities are, we are going to see glyphs under the power. Each skill the player have has a different amount of glyph that the players can have for that skill. Each glyph is different and important. AT the bottom of the glyph we are going to see a number. This number indicates how many glyph points you need in order to activate it. At the bottom right corner of your skills menu you are going to see the total number of glyphs that are available.
Players can always enable and disable the glyphs spent by them.
Crystals and Infusions:
The new players might find lots of things in Tera a little over whelming. One of those things are crystals and Infusions. Crystals are items that are added to specific types of equipment. Any class and any Race can use any Crystal in the right slots. Crystals are the easiest way to boost your agro, damage and defense without having to spend lots of gold. There are about 3 different types of crystals in the game. They include, Offensive Crystals also known as the DPS crystals, Defensive Crystals that are blue and then the Accessory Crystals that are colored green. Inside these categories there are several different types of crystals for each of these categories.
We can get crystals in three ways. The first and the easiest way is by killing the enemies. The second is by Parcel Post or the mail box. The third method using the crystal vendor in Velika.
The important thing is, if you have crystal slotted and also you happen to die, you will lose the crystal. So try not to die.
On our character we can have a total of 12 crystals. Four weapon crystals, Four armor crystals, One crystal for each ear rings and the ring that the character is wearing.
When it comes to crystal infusions, this is a mechanic in the game that is used to achieve higher tier weapon and armor crystal. The player can combine or infuse for three different or alike crystals to create a newere crysal of the same the same tier or a newer crystal of a higher tier. The resulting crystal is determined by RNG so player can not simply go use the same carving crystal to create the crystal of higher tier because it is all random.
To buy crystals you have to a specific portion of Velika. This is the place most people usually hang out and this is where players can buy crystals.
Enchanting the gear:
This requires the players to have gears that can be enchanted. Not every equipment can be enchanted. To know if an equipment can be enchanted or not, check its description for Enchantable. If it is there then the gear can be Enchanted. Players are also required to have necessary resources to enchant a gear. The enchantment will depend on the number the player are ready to input. The higher the number of input, the higher is the success.
There are about three ways to get the resource, dismantling gear, feedstock, killing enemies and purchasing.

Classes and Races:
This will give the general idea of what each class is, their useful ness and what they can do. We will also give you our take on each class in both solo and dungeon play, lets check it out.
There will be 8 playable consoles in tera console’s technical test instead of the 10 available although they are 13 classes in Tera, we will be covering all 13 just for reference when these class do become available eventually.
Starting off with races, there are 7 different races in tera and they each have their own advantages and disadvantages but for the most part each race has isn’t that important as other prominent MMOS. The majority of races have racial features. These features benefits the players in the PvP aspect of the game rather than the PvE side. So if you are a player who is going to be focused in PvP then your choice of race is going to impact your gameplay significantly otherwise your choice of race is not going to matter that much.
Almonds have the racial traits of no stranger to pain and this is a passive trait and that decreases the damage taken by 10% when your HP is below 30% in PvP.
Cast onyx they do dirty fighting which increases the critical hit rate by 1% when attacking from behind.
Ellens we do not really have anything that benefits more towards PvP or PvE so most players choose Ellens based on their looks.
It is not recommened to spend a lot of time on race unless we are doing PvP. We can always make a purchase for race change from the Tera shop later.
We have these races in Tera PS:
- Cast Onyx
- High Elves
There are 13 classes in Tera and these classes can be divided into categories of tanks, melee DPS ranged DPS and your healer and support classes and each of these classes have their own unique animations and some classes can only be used when using a specific race or gender.
That means, if you want to become a Brawler, you have to choose a female human. On the other hand, if you want to become a gunner, you would have to choose either a cast onyx or an Elin or an high elf. They should be female.
Tank you got your brawler you will answer your Berserker and your warrior. The brawler is a mixture between a burst DPS with high mitigation as a tank allowing you to be efficient with crowd control abilities with high burst damage solo play is fairly easy with this class. When it comes to parties, brawlers are seen in front of the pack getting enemies together making good use of their crowd control abilities. The Lancer is the best Tank class in the game. It has large AoE damage but it attacks slowly but on the bright side, they have very high survivability and they are at AoE damage but proficient in drawing and keeping agro in solo.
In early stages they are very slow. But unlock more, like the shield garage, they become more useable. When it comes to parties they are good choice.
Berserkers are characterizes as meele DPS and Tank because at level 65 you gain the ability to Tank giving them access to new skills and abilities that are specifically designed for tanking purpose. They are DPS heavy. When in comes to party play, Berserkers are the main DPS. Their job is to deliver the maximum amount of damage possible.
Warrior they are pretty different because, they can generate agro pretty well and they can switch between two stance and they being, defensive tank and assault DPS which allows them to be excellent at solo game play, when it comes to roles and parties their role is to deal damage depending on their stance. Keep enemies form ranged classes
Reaper This class has the highest mobility in the game it is a very good class at range but it is best at close combat. It has good crowd control abilities and this class is actually able to heal itself. We also get access to knock backs stuns and mobalization but it is very combat heavy class. In solo play, Reapers do not have to worry about anything. In Parties and groups, it is best to focus Reaper to deliver the highest amount of damage at the right time.
Slayers It has high burst DPS and it is very similar to Reapers. It also gives access to knock downs and stuns. In party play the slayers job may vary. But a slayer’s job is to counter attack bosses and interrupt them. They are very few slayers out there who can do it subjectively.
Valkyrie is another burst DPS class and honestly in MMO there is always one OP class that on Goku. This class has insane damage, it can stun it can assist with crowd control. It is pretty much one shot kill to trash mods. It does not take long to Valkyrie to kill things.
Ninja is a very combat heavy class. It does majority of damage of crits creek combos. They avoid damage very easily. When it comes to parties and bosses, Ninja’s are good at keeping bosses stunned. Giving the teammates an opportunity to do massive amounts of damage.
Archer specializes in poisoning, slowing, stunning and trapping targets, giving them higher advantage in almost any situation. They are efficient in boss fights and in group they are good in grouping enemies.
Gunner has combos like sorcerer, archerer and berserker. The cool thing about this class is that you can summon turrent and robots to help you. They are kind of support class.
Sorcerer can do massive amounts of damage in nuke style attack to multiple enemies or single target enemies. They will kill things quickly. They are excellent at crowd control.
Priest is a healing class in Tera. They can also revive you if you die. A skilled priest can turn table and give party the upper hand.
Mystics are another form of healer in the game. They have the ability to summon pets. And they are also good with crowd control abilities. They also have access to debuff their enemies buff the allies and do some damage over time.
No class has the superiority over the other. Your performance in the game will completely depend on your skill. It completely depends on, you as an individual play that class.
